Mayfair Art Club provides children to learn and develop their observational and technical drawing skills. They will also be encouraged to use colour to create a realistic effect through form. The Club provides a safe, friendly and relaxed environment that stimulates children to develop their creativity. This is done through free drawing in their sketch book which is given at the beginning of each class. Classes begin at 11am and finish at 12.15pm. Children are requested to arrive 10 minutes before class. Parents are welcome to sit in during the class. There is a 10 minute break where children are given some fresh fruit before they begin a observational and technical drawing. All art materials are supplied. The classes are taught by an experienced teacher with a valid DBS. Classes take place at The Grosvenor Chapel. 24 South Audley Street, Mayfair, London W1K 2PA Parents can also make a booking and payment on the day for the class at the venue.

This painting shows one of the many beautiful paths along the English Gardens in Munich. I loved strolling along these gardens and paths. I wanted to capture the first signs of spring when the leaves start to blossom and the skies are blue. It is a beautiful part of the world. Framed Size: 7.5cm x 9.5cm Image Size: 5.5cm x 7.5cm

The shape of a pear often resembles that of a woman. Having this as a point of departure I continue to explore human relationships and society at large. Women love to gossip. This image brings form and behaviour together with humour. Medium: Oils and Oil Pencils on paper backed by board Framed Size: W14cm x H11.5cm Image Size: W11.5cm x H9cm

Out of stockThis painting was inspired by the warm, and hot colours and cultures of the Mediterranean. Zahra spent many years living in Southern Europe and fell in love with the warmth of the people, cuisine and environment. Here she pays homage to one of the happiest times of her life. Inspired by the great Dutch Masters Vanitas paintings. Aspects maintained the table cloth, parts of the flowers, fruit basket and fruit, and reflection. The Cirle of Life looks at the idea of birth, youth maturity and death. the clock in the background signals the passing of time with the hour of three being shown. This is the time where the afternoon leads to early evening, the light of life is disappearing. The butterfly is part of the birth and change to flowering or coming of age. The colours have the vibrancy of youth. The right side is youth and life but the left shows the flowers losing their petals and leaves are falling. I painted in blocks of colour inspired by cartoons, colouring books following numbers and stained class windows. Medium: Oils on canvas board Size: Framed - 58 cm x 69 cm

This image depicts a lovely crisp and magical Christmas evening in Northern Scandinavia. The building is traditionally wooden, though modernised within. These buildings are typical across the region in an effort to preserve the heritage, antiquity, and fairy-tale atmosphere that charms all those who visit. Here I capture the warmth of the homes, lives and people that live within, in this beautiful part of the world. Medium: Colour Pencils on paper Size: Framed 62 cm x 52.5 cm

This painting was made during the early and formative years of my career as an artist when I was creating my own style and voice. It is based and inspired by my studies of 19th century Nordic artists such as Larson. It represents a domestic scene in a Scandinavian home. The mother is looking after her flowers. She is followed by her little boy who helps her. This is a window into the importance of family life and nurturing of children during their early years in Scandinavia. Medium: Colour pencils on paper Size: Framed - 43 cm x 45 cm

Out of stockThis painting was made during the early and formative years of my career as an artist. I was creating my own style and voice by learning from the masters. Heavenly Harbour is a sketch and a study for a future painting. It is inspired by and adapted from the work of Italian Masters and artists such as Kim, in terms of composition and features. However it is my own creative message by transforming some of the composition and adding elements. It represents an imagined a paradise and utopia along the Adriatic Coast of Italy and Croatia. It has several symbols to convey the message. The Christian elements are conveyed in the Dove that symbolises the spirit or Christ, the electricity pole is shaped as a cross, the children embracing each other symbolise unconditional love and protection for your family and for humanity. The number 7 by the door is the sabbath or the day of rest which is emphasised by the parked bicycle and a couple in a boat admiring and contemplating the flowers. Out of stockThis painting was made during the early and formative years of my career as an artist. I was creating my own style and voice by learning from the masters. Playing the Blues is a sketch and a study for a future painting. It is inspired by and adapted from the work of masters such as McCraid (?) and Blanchard, in terms of composition and features. However it is my own creative message by transforming some of the composition, features, and the addition of elements such as the musician. Features changed: the buildings have been simplified; the wall and lamp posts, and the bench has also been changed. The figures remain almost the same. The shapes and colours have been changed. The reflections have also been altered. Playing the Blues represents an imagined romantic, but also a realistic scene as a musician plays the blues along London's Embankment. He is one of the countless musicians that add life, vibrancy, joy and colour to this part of a London. Medium: Acrylic Size: Framed - 43 cm x 45 cm

Out of stockThis painting was made during the early and formative years of my career as an artist. I was creating my own style and voice by learning from the masters. Venetian Delight is a sketch and a study for a future painting. It is inspired by and adapted from the work of Masters such as Kim and Canaletto, in terms of composition and features. However it is my own creative message with some transformation of the composition, colour scheme and the addition of elements. It represents an imagined romantic, but also a realistic scene as a precarious electricity line crosses from end of the canal to another in the distance. It shows the famous Venetian Gondolas with passengers. One of rowers passes the house of his 'inamorata' as she waits by the door to see him. She is his Venetian delight. Above her on the right is the Italian flag which shows the pride and love of the people for their country. The golden cords that tie the boats to the poles depict the splendour and majesty of Venice. These treasures can still be found in some remote parts of the Mediterranean and Aegean in an effort to preserve the heritage, antiquity, and a bygone time that charm all those who visit. Here I capture the simplicity, yet warmth and hospitality of homes, lives and people that live within, in this beautiful and vibrant part of the world. These are symbolised by the bottle of wine, the pan to cook with and peaches on the table. The hot colour palette reflects the atmosphere, nature and culture of the people and country.
