The image depicts the an orange with a swirling and dancing peel. It is a metaphor living and loving life. I love warm colours.
It is inspired by my studies of the paintings done during the 16th and 17th centuries by Caravaggio, Rembrandt, Zubaran and Nickelsen all who used black and dark backgrounds, and swirling movements to make colours stand out more and provide action. I love the way black makes the colours stand out. I continue to stdy and learn from them in my efforts to be a good artist.
